Taking Bookings for Summer courses...
Art Camp weeks - these are the most comprehensive, creative weeks going! There are either weeks for adults (£100 for the week) or for children (£75 for the week), and we lead you through every arty technique under the arty sun: life drawing, still life, experimentation, jewellery making, and we go to sites around the city - the Art Gallery,Castle Museum. Cracking. Please pop in for details soon, as places are likely to go.

Life Drawing 10 week course
Every Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday, starting mid-September, break for half term.
Participants will learn how to approach the human figure, how to represent the volume of the human body and how to place the figure against the backdrop of a professional studio. We alternate between male/female models, full age range, and guide you through carefully planned drawing exercises, using pencil, charcoal, pastel, paint, palette knives, brusho ink, sticks. We look at dynamism, flesh tones, hands and feet, the figure in context. We look forward to witnessing your work strengthen. All levels of ability are welcome.
£90 for 10 week course.

Pop in, Drop ‘em off Art Sessions for Children: Any school afternoon before 6pm, drop your little one off for an easy going Art Session while you get yourself into town. £5 for the hour, or a little longer if necessary. Give us a ring an hour or two beforehand.
Workshops & Art Jamming
You can either join one of the workshops, or if you want a bit of individual space, hire an easel and get painting for only £5 an hour. With the unique view of Clifford’s Tower you can have a go at recreating Lowry’s famous image.
For a chilled out end to the working week/start to the weekend you can book yourself into the popular ‘Friday Night Art Jamming’ – bring a bottle of wine or some beer or enjoy some ArtSpace coffee and paint quick and loose in a likeminded group to (often live) music. They love Art Jamming in Tokyo - why not in York? Either leave your work to dry overnight or take it with you. Art Jamming: surely York’s most cosmo, creative way to de-stress. Indeed, the national press has often flagged up Art Jamming as York's most alternative Friday night.
The ArtSpace is a creative place for creative people. We provide relaxed and affordable classes in jewellery, ceramics, felt making, life drawing, Painting a Canvas, Sketch Book clubs and several different workshops for children.
Children's Art Sessions.
We have Group Sessions every week. Feel free to contact us to arrange a time for your child - either in a group or one to one. We're both qualified teachers, we're expert at teaching art, so whether you live in York or you're just visiting: drop your child/teenager off, and treat yourself to some private chill out time in the city with a glass of wine, a coffee, or a bit of shopping.
Group sessions are every week at the same time (see above), but a lot of the time they're also arranged a few days in adavnce, so keep us in mind, and contact us if ever you want to see your child taught top quality art skills while you enjoy York.

Arty Parties
Our studio is often hired for parties, either for children’s birthdays, adults’ surprise creative parties, participation with local charities or ‘creativity days’, where the studio is hired by local managers to help encourage employees to think loose, quick and colourful!
Children’s Arty Party - You set the theme: making jewellery, customising T-Shirts, drawing cartoons, painting, mosaics. Free web site of photos taken by professional photographer. Or for you adults – an Art Jamming Party (see above)? A quick guide through a number of different techniques? We can even arrange for a model to come for your very own ‘Champagne and Life Drawing Party’. Get it booked. £50 for the hour.
