RICHARD BARNES COMETH!

York's HOTTEST painter colonises The ArtSpace all August, from Friday 1st to the 25th.

Richard Barnes is York’s most exciting painter. Fresh from a year’s travelling around Africa and sensitive to the fact that York is winning more and more top city prizes, he endows the city with a sense of neon newness. He is currently working on a series of images where York’s iconic landmarks are progressively deconstructed until the depictions are a vivid roar of movement and colour, similar to the studies on this wall – this will be a prominent theme in the show. Do not, for the love of Thor, miss this!
