Coming Up

Firstly, we have:

Painting & Ceramics - including artists Kate Young, Matthew Herring, Judy Burnett, Fiona Edmondson and Carolyn Caulfield. We're looking at all things elemental: that includes the salt soaked winds from the North Sea, the bursting blue skies above the rough hewn Yorkshire Moors and even the warmer edge to each morning as Spring brings with it breezes from lands frothing with blossom! You know it. Going to be a show of optimism for a new, bold, blue year.

 

How can we follow that? Well after that we have one of York's sharpest photographers Tom Rodgers exhibiting from April 15th until May 3rd. Tom enjoyed a very successful show at York's Living Room on Ouse Bridge - it is only natural, it is only right that he is to exhibit in the city's most compelling gallery. Where? you ask. Friend, ArtSpace, that's where!

 

After Tom we have a behemoth show involving two of the North's most exciting upcoming artstars. Old ArtSpace fave Andy Fullalove and new fave Viv Wade bring their thrilling paintings up for a duo show, 'Journies & their Stories'. This is going to highly exciting and will see ArtSpace take its place as one of the North's most experimental and supportive galleries.

People - make sure you're hanging on TIGHT, cuz we intend to keep the pace quick and HOT! Ultra flirty colourscapes from York's Lesley Seeger and Huddersfield's Amrik Varkalis dovetail for the second of this year's duo shows. Both artists are old ArtSpace exhibitees and have had their own respective solo shows: it is going to be a gorgeously golden explosion of Vitamin D in here from June 25th until 14th July.
